day 7, 719 miles (so far) 52,653 feet of climing (so far) 73 feet of climbing per mile average, thats a ton!
Still in West Virginia tonight. Today's ride took us from Clarksburg West Virginia to Parkersburg West Virginia 8 miles short of Ohio, tomorrow morning the crew will cross the Ohio river into Ohio via the Parkersburg-Belpre Bridge (Rt 50). We rode RT 50 across West Virginia today, typically we try to avoid the State highway routes but Rt 50 had nice shoulders and was a pretty nice ride. Todays bike average was a screaming (compared to yesterday) 12.7 MPH. The hills are going away, but we are still sore from yesterday’s nightmare hills.

Almost heaven, West Virginia! Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah River.
I shall be cheering you on with the chorus of Country Roads...in my head of course. I wouldn't be singing that out loud.
Hi Guys,
Glad to hear that you are finally leaving the mountains and the rain. It has been raining here quite hard and is expected to end tomorrow (Saturday) morning.
Sounds like your glutes and quads are getting one hell of a workout. They must be "screaming".
Take care.
Looking forward to your next entry.
Mike Pap.
Dyno Don.... we can use all the cheering we can get... we need some dry weather can you help?
